Book Now - Temple of Baal Cave

Dramatic & Evocative! This ancient cave is renowned for its ethereal yet spectacular features. Marvel at the astonishing crystal formations in this citadel of reflection and peace. The Temple of Baal experience consists of two huge and awe-inspiring caverns. This cave has fossils, helictites, discovery stories, and the ominous names of its breath-taking formations.

Your journey starts when you enter a long man-made shaft, the Binoomea Cut. Descend deep into the mountain, via the ‘Dragon’s Throat’. As though entering the open mouth of an enormous dragon, follow the red flowstone all the way down to ‘Moloch’s Grotto’. See the ‘Gem of the South’, the wall of helictites and perfect cave pearls.

Experience the second enormous chamber from 5 different vantage points – seeing something new at each stop, such as the ‘Red Altar’, the ‘White Altar’, ‘Gabriel’s Wing’, the ‘Golden Fleece’, the ‘Sword of St Michael’, the ‘Frozen Waterfall’ and, of course, ‘Baal’. See Jenolan’s longest crystal shawl, the delicate, white ‘Angel’s Wing’. Visitors come away awestruck by the strange beauty and serenity of this cave.

If you are driving all the way to Jenolan, you might want to consider booking accommodation, for a getaway to remember.
