Book Now - Imperial Cave & Underground River

Our easiest cave tour. This journey takes you along the path of an ancient river bed. Mostly level, with short sets of stairs, this tour is an excellent choice if you are not quite as mobile as you once were. This cave is known for its amazing history, and has unique stories to tell.

Your journey starts at the ‘Woolshed’, distinguished by its strange, ‘fluffy’ crystal. Then the snaking path leads you to the ancient bones of a Tasmanian Devil – unearthed in this cave after 3,000 years. See the awesome ‘Crystal Cities’. We lead you beyond the perilous ‘Ridley’s Shortcut’, to one of Jenolan’s most beautiful crystal shawl formations, and the famous ‘Lot’s Wife’.

You also have the option to descend a winding staircase to the Underground River. The pure, blue waters are an awe-inspiring experience for all ages. This is our only tour where you get the chance to see one of Jenolan's underground rivers.

Although children under age 4 are free of charge, please remember to book a ticket for them.

If you are driving all the way to Jenolan, you might want to consider booking accommodation, for a getaway to remember.
